A New Paradigm
This is a live performance art collaboration between Europe and Los Angeles, powered by a new paradigm for the fusion of sound and image. The result is an immersive journey into driving electronic music and vivid three-dimensional worlds.
All the music and every element of the visuals are created live, using a combination of technical virtuosity and cutting-edge, custom-designed instruments. This means every performance is unique, and every audience experiences their own original story.
Rick Feds (Instagram | YouTube) is known worldwide for his mastery on the sample pad as well as numerous technical innovations that many believe represent the creation of a new art form. He has done solo shows at The Cutting Room (NY), Rockwood Music Hall (NY), South by South West (Austin, TX) and has been included in the Ableton’s TOP 5 performers list for two years in a row. Apart from performing Rick is a Fulbright scholar, TED speaker and the creator of the jazz drums program at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music.
Pete Johnson (Lightspace Modulator) is an artist, musician and inventor. His work has been shown at venues and events ranging from the Museum of Modern Art (NY) to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (CA) and he has toured with musical acts in the US and Europe. As a technology innovator, he has developed software products for digital media companies including Avid and is the creator of the VSx visual synthesizer. His primary residence and studio are in downtown Los Angeles.
While developing custom tools to create new levels of live experiences, the team embraces the latest industry innovations and is well-versed in current technology protocols. This means that beyond the standard live audio and video performance any given show may also include — as appropriate for the event — elements such as enhanced visual and lighting effects, ATMOS sound, XR technology, even water fountains and fireworks.
And it all still happens live, under the real-time control of the performers.
While first and foremost an endeavor to further intermedia art, the project members have considerable experience supporting brand activations for corporate clients. Immediacy and immersion, with the flexibility to support any narrative, message and brand identity are key elements of the offering for these engagements.
Brands supported in the past have included Adidas, Audi, Coca-Cola and Lamborghini.
